A stone is dropped from the top of a tower 125 m high into a pond of water at the base of the tower. When is the splash heard at the top? [g= 10 m/s² and speed of sound= 340 m/s]

...HERE GØΣS UR ANS...

╚══════════════❤️═╝

given height,s=500m

g=10

speed of sound =340

on analysing we get that we have to find time period

first analyze the data and apply different formulas for it then see which formula suits the best.

the formula that should be used here is

s=ut+1/2at2

u=0,

500=0+1/2x10xtxt

we get t=10 sec

now the time for the resound=500/340=1.47 sec

total time=10+1.47=11.47 sec

Here,

*Speed of sound= 340 m/s,

*g= 10 m/,

*u= 0,

*h= 125 m,

*t= ?

We know that,

h= ut + 1/2 gt²

=> 125 = 0 + 1/2 × 10 ×

Therefore, t= 5 s.

Now,

Let t' be the time taken by the sound to reach the top after the splash.

u= 340 m/s, h= 125 m, t1=?

t1 = h/u

=>t1= 125/340

=>t1= 0.37 s

Hence, the splash will be heard after

t + t1 = (5 + 0.37)s = 5.37 s.

Hope it helps....❣❣❣
