Here,

T = 5 seconds

D= 3625 m

V = speed of sand = ?

By the relation of Echo ranging

V = 2d/t

= 2× 3625 m/s / 5 sec

= 2× 725 m/s

= 1450 m/s

Therefore, the speed of sound in the sea water is 1450 m/s
