a stone is dropped from the top of a tower 500 metre high into a pond of water at the base of the tower. when is the splash at the top? given g=10 M per second square and speed of sound=340m per second​

so t = 5 sec . this is the time for stone to reach the pond.

Now the sound waves will travel upwards with velocity of 340 m/sec So time for sound wave to reach= 500/340 = 25/17 sec=1.47 sec

so total it will take 6.47 sec from throwing to hearing the sound of splash
