Answer:

Final velocity = 24m/s

We know ,

gravity due to acceleration ( g) = 10 m/s^2

Given :

A stone is dropped from a height so,

u = 0  (because it starts from rest )

initial velocity (u)  = 0m/s

time = 2.4 secs

By applying equation 1

v - u = at

in place of a we are substituting as g

v - u = gt

v = ?

v - 0 =  10 x 2.4

v = 24m/s

Final velocity = 24m/s
