A stone is dropped in a well 44 m deep and the sound of splash is heard after 3.12 sec. Find the speed of sound in air.

D= 44 m 2 (time) = 3.12 Hence, Time= 3.12÷2 = 1.54 Speed = D ÷ T = 44÷ 1.54 = 28 m/s
