A stone is projected from a point at a distance 100m from a building. The stone enters a window horizontally, at a height of 50m. Find the direction and magnitude of the velocity of projection of the stone.

The range will be = 200 m and the max. height will be = 50 m.
then h = (u^2 sin^2θ)/2g and range = (u^2 sin2θ)/g.
then we can say sin^2θ = 0.5sin2θ
By solving,
θ = 45.
and the direction will be towards the building.
u will be √2000 m/s.
