Explanation:

Given,

h max=49m

a=10m/s^2

u=0

t=1 sec

v=u+at

v=0+10(1)

v=10m/s

So, velocity after one second is 10m/s

Now,

v^2=u^2+2(a)(s)

v^2=0+2(10)(49)

v^2=20(49)

v^2=980

v=√980

v=31.30m/s

Velocity with which it strikes the ground=31.30m/s.

Hope it is helpful.
