A stone is thrown in a vertically
upuard direction with a velocity
of 5 ms. If the acceleration of the
stone during its motion is 10m s 2
in the downward direction, what
will be the height attained by the
stone and how much time will it
take to reach there?

A stone is thrown in a vertically

upward

hence,

g=-10m/s²

u=5m/s

v=0 m/s

to find - t

solution

v=u+(-g)t

0=5-(10×t)

0=5-10t

-5=-10t

5=10t

1=2t

t=1/2
