A stone is thrown in a vertically upward direction with a velocity of 15m/s. If the
acceleration of the stone during its motion is 10m/s2 in the downward direction, what
will be the height attained by the stone and how much time will it take to reach there?

u=15m/s

a=-10m/s²

v=0m/s

∴v²=u²+2as

⇒0=(15)²+2(-10)s

⇒0=225-20s

⇒20s=225

⇒s=225/20

⇒s=11.25m

∴v=u+at

⇒0=15+(-10)t

⇒10t=15

⇒t=15/10

⇒t=1.5s
