A stone is thrown in a vertically
upward direction with a velocity
of 5 m/s.If the acceleration of the
stone during its motion is 10ms-2
in the downward direction, what
will be the height attained
by the stone
how much time will it

Explanation:

Given:-

Initial velocity = 0

Final velocity = 5m/s

Accleration = 10m/s^2u

To find:-

Distance and Time

For Time,

By applying, v - u = at

5 - 0 = 10×t

5 = 10t

t = 5/10

t = 0.5sec.

For Distance,

By applying, v^2-u^2 = 2as

25 - 0 = 2×10×s

25 = 20s

S = 25/20

S = 1.25m.
