Answer:If it was thrown downwards verticly along the plumb line and was unobstructed and assuming no air resistance

Using laws of motion

v=u+at

v= final velocity after t=1 second

u is initial velocity which is 0 (assuming initial rest)

a=g= acceleration due to gravity 9.8 m/s^2

v=20+9.8*1

v=29.8 m/s
