A stone is thrown vertically from the tower of height 25m with speed of 20m/s. What time does it take to reach the ground?

Explanation:

s = 25m

u = 20m/s

v = 0m/s ( AS the object is thrown upwards)

g = - 10m/s² (AS the object thrown is against gravity)

by Newtons First  law,

v = u+ gt

0 = 20 + (-10)t

0 = 20 -10t

- 10t = 20

t = 20/10

t = 2

total time = 2t

= 2x 2

= 4 s

thus the object would take 4 seconds to reach the ground
