Explanation:

when the stone is thrown vertically upwards, u=29.4m/s

v=0m/s. a= -9.8m/s²

since v=u+at.

0=29.4 -9.8t

9.8t=29.4

t=2.541s

hence time of accent=2.541s

since v²=u² +2as

0=29.4² -2x9.8s

s=864.36/19.6

s=h=44.1m

when the stone returns

u=0m/s

a=9.8m/s²,. s=h=44.1s

since v²=u² +2as

v²=0+19.6x44.1

v²=864.36

v=29.4m/s

since v=u+at

29.4=0+9.8t

t=2.541s

time of decent=2.541s

hence time of accent=time of decent
