A stone is tied to one end of a rubber string and suspended from a rigid support. It
was then immersed completely in water and the elongation of the rubber string is
observed. What do you think happened before and after the stone was immersed in
the water? Explain it using Archimedes' principle.

In first case the expansion or elongation would be more suppose l length but later on when it is immersed into the water the length of elongation decreases as the buoyant force act upwards canceling some amount of weight (ro*l*g)
