Explanation:

If a string with a body is rotated in horizontal plane, there is no affect of weight of the body on tension (since it acts perpendicularly downward).

The only force acting on the body is the centripetal force.

So here tension acting on string, T=Fc=mw^(2) r = (mv^2) / r

= 2 x (2π)^2 x 1.5

=118.3152 N

Here angular velocity,w= 2π rads-1

since 1 revolution=2π rad
