A stone of mass 30kg is immersed in water contained in a tib if the volume of a stone is 12cm will the stone float or sink

Density = Mass/Volume

Mass of stone in grams = 30 x 1000 = 30000 g

Density of stone= 30000/12

= 2500 g/cm3

Since the stone is denser than water it will sink in it. Density of water is 1 gm/cm3
