A stone of mass 5 kg is thrown upward such that it reaches up to 10 m. The velocity and kinetic energy with which it is thrown upwards is (taken g= 9.8m/s^2)

Velocity = sqrt(2gH)
= sqrt(2 × 9.8 × 10) m/s
= 14 m/s

Kinetic energy = 0.5mv^2
= 0.5 × 5 kg × (14 m/s)^2
= 490 Joule
