Mass = 500g = 0.5kg

Velocity of body = 15m/s

Considering that no energy is lost by air resistance,

¹/₂ mv² = mgh

¹/₂v² = gh

225/2 = 10h

h = 225/20 = 11.25m

Therefore,

PE = mgh = 0.5*10*11.25 = 56.25J

KE = ¹/₂mv² = ¹/₂*0.5*225 = 56.25J

TE = PE at highest point = KE at lowest point = 56.25J
