A stone stopped from the roof of a house,reaches the ground in 1.5 seconds. Calculate the distance of the roof from the ground and the velocity of the stone with which it strikes the ground.

it is given in question that

u = o (initial speed)

t= 1.5 , acceleration = g = 9.8 or we can take it 10

now using equation s = ut + 1/2 at^2 , s = 11.25 m

and equation v = u +at , we can calculate v that is equal to 14.7m/s
