the time required to go up and come down from the highest point is equal and the initial velocity while throwing it up will be same as the final velocity while it comes down.

lets take the case of going up, we can use the formula

v2=u2−2gx  

where  v=0 ,  x=98m ,  g=9.8m/s2  

from that we get  u=43.82m/s  

now from  v=u−gt , we can find  t=4.47s  

hence time of flight is  T=2t=8.94s
