a storage tank at a petrol station is a cuboid 4 m long, 3 m wide and 2 m deep. In one day if the station sells 7200 litres of petrol from the tank, what is the fall in the level of the petrol in the tank.

Firstly find the volume  of the tank( cuboid =box shaped/rectangular prism)

Volume of a cuboid = Length* Width*Height

                                  = 4m *3m*2m

                                   = 24m^3

Convert 24m^3 to Litres

             1m^3= 1000 litres

Therefore, Voulme of Tank is:   24m^3 *1000= 24 000litres

Secondly: Subtract the volume of tank by the amount sold daily to get the fall

24000-7200= 16 800litres remaining in the tank
