Answer:

A storage tank is in a form of cube. When it is full of water, the volume of the water is 15.625m^3. If the present depth of water is 1.3m, then can you find the volume of water already used from the tank?

volume of water when it is full = 15.625m^3

hence it is a cube then it means all the side such as length breadth and height should be same,

now

volume of cube = (a)^3

15.625m^3 = (a)^3

a = 2.5m

now it's height get changed from the previous one (i.e 2.5m get changed to 1.3m) it means it becomes a cuboid having length = 2.5m, breadth= 2.5m and height= 1.3m

as we know that,

volume of cuboid tank =Length×Breadth×height

volume of cuboidal tank (i.e remaining water in tank) = 2.5m×2.5m×1.3m

volume of water remaining tank = 8.125m^3

Now, volume of water already used From the tank = total volume of water - volume of water left in tank.

volume of water already used From the tank = 15.625m^3 - 8.125m^3

ANSWER:

volume of water already used From the tank = 7.5m^3

i hope this will help you
