Robert Bruce had fought and lost his kingdom. In order to save his life , he left everything behind and ran away. He finally took shelter in a cave far away from the country. While sitting in this cave , he noticed a spider trying to build a web. Despite several failures, the spider did not give up. It continued to make more and more efforts . At last he succeeded. This experience convinced him that he too could succeed if he did not give up hope. He realised that failure or defeat is not the end of everything. The king rose and decided to return to his kingdom to continue the war. He went back and collected an army. Before long more and more of his faithful people joined him. He defeated his enemies and regained his kingdom. Thus , perseverance is the key to success.
