I was in dire need of money. I went to moneylenders and asked them to lend me money but each of them refused, knowing that I was very poor and wouldn’t be able to pay them back. So I finally decided to go to the king himself so that he could led me some money. The guards at the king’s palace were getting bored guarding the king’s palace so when they saw me, they stopped me and charged me with heinous crimes. When they had gotten bored out of this game, they let me go to see the king. I entered inside and saw beautiful walls and the curtains with their tapestry and the soft couches laden with gold. After admiring all these things I went to the king. It was the most harrowing time of my life. I couldn’t find the words to speak and all the words that I said cam e out in a stutter. I finally asked him the money and he decided to lend me some money.

I was again bankrupt. Hardly had I stepped out of the palace gates did a group of naughty children steal the money given to me by the king. The word ‘naughty’ is an understatement, I was given money by the king himself and how dare they steal it? I sat and thought and thought and sat. Finally, i decided to go to the king again and tell him what had happened.

The king recognised me. He asked me what I had come for again. I reproachfully told him my problem. I knew he would not forgive me. But to my surprise, he was a kind king.
