Answer:

What is the best thing you have ever done for yourself?

I enrolled in coaching early on as I saw many of my friends going for it (class 8). I liked it initially - but then I realized it was not my thing. Nothing new, just solving harder math problems with no innovation/critical thinking. Stopped going there and learned things on my own. Everyone opposed me. I knew what I was doing - and my parents trusted me,

Fast forward to 9th - now we were being taught some really advanced stuff. This time I did go to coaching as they were teaching some advanced things for an exam. But after 5–6 months I felt I was learning nothing new. I stopped going. Everyone laughed or opposed. I knew what I was doing. I cleared the exam, those who laughed didn’t.

I decided to not go to coaching in 10th - and studied on my own. I wasn’t attending NTSE classes at my coaching - some of my teachers called me overconfident and said I won’t get selected. Everyone opposed me, but I knew what I was doing. Results out - I topped the exam - yes, rank 1 in NTSE.

JEE preparation - Everyone told me to go to Kota - I would be wasting my potential in Udaipur. I never wanted to prepare for JEE. I got calls from almost all Kota coachings asking me to go to their centers (free tuition, hostel, etc.) I wanted to study science - Astronomy, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, etc. on my own. I didn’t want to get into this rat race. I didn’t go.

I didn’t prepare much for JEE in 11th - I used to study Physics, Mathematics, and a bit of Astronomy and Biology which was way outside my syllabus. My teachers opposed it and said I should “focus on JEE”. I didn’t, but I knew what I was doing. The results were out - and I am sure I couldn’t have wished for more. My JEE results were better than I ever thought would be, plus I cleared the Physics and Astronomy Olympiads as well.

This is the best thing I have ever done for myself - not listening to what others want me to do and listening to my heart - but not blindly, I do it only when I truly know what I am doing.

This has continued in college as well. I spent a whole year in college doing things others wanted me to do (well not in entirety, but a bit). It was in my first years summers that I realized that I can simply not follow this path laid down by others if I want to be truly great. This is what makes me believe that it will all work out fine - just believe your gut feelings, and do it.

And don’t listen to those who criticize you or belittle you. You are the one who would have the last laugh eventually

if it helps you mark it as a brainliest answer
