The Best Gift in my Life
Kamala always loved her grandma's visit to town. Grandma lived in a small village 50 kms away from Kamala's town Siliguri. Kamala also loved to go and stay with her sometimes during the vacation.
The best thing about grandma was that she knew exactly what her grandchildren wanted. She loved to indulge them with small gifts that she could afford. The children also loved her simple and fun gifts and never craved for costly ones.
Summer was here and grandma promised Kamala and her brother Rohan a surprise gift this summer. She wrote to them a few days back that she would be coming as soon as the school closed for summer. Today was the first day of vacation and Kamala was so eager for her grandmother's arrival.
Soon enough, grandmother arrived. She came with just a small suitcase and a small purse. What about the surprise gift? Kamala and Rohan thought it was not polite to ask grandma immediately about her gift. So they spent the entire morning loitering about, ready to jump up if their grandma called them. But there was no call from her and there was no gift after all! Soon it was bed time. Kamala and Rohan got ready to go to bed and as they got into the bed, they head a small knock on their door.
When they opened the door, they saw in front of them a cute small basket with a pillow on it and on the pillow was cuddled up, a tiny pup, the color of sun !!
Kamala and Rohan screamed at the top of their voices and ran down to hug their grandma for the best gift of thier life !!
