NET FORCE EXPERIENCED BY CONDUCTOR IS 0.26 NEWTON.

Given:

  • Current = 5A
  • Length = 30 cm = 0.3 m
  • Magnetic field intensity = 0.2 T
  • Angle = 60°

To find:

  • Net force experienced by conductor?

Calculation:

The general expression of force experienced by a current carrying conductor placed in a magnetic field is as follows :

F = i \times L \times B \times  \sin( \theta)

 \implies F = 5 \times 0.3 \times 0.2 \times  \sin( {60}^{ \circ} )

 \implies F = 5 \times 0.3 \times 0.2 \times   \dfrac{ \sqrt{3} }{2}

 \implies F = 5 \times 0.3 \times 0.1\times  \sqrt{3}

 \implies F  \approx 0.26\: N

So, net force experienced by the conductor is approximately 0.26 N.
