A straight road runs through four towns A, B, C, D. A is 12 5/6 km from B. B is
14 2/3 km from D, and C is 14 1/4 km from A. How far is C from D?

           Here you have to subtract the distance between A and B from the distance between C and A to find the distance between B and C.

then you can subtract the distance between B and C from the distance between D and B and find the Distance between C and D !

However, here, this will not work because when we  subtract the distance between A and B from the distance between C and A, the answers is coming is negative.
