A strain of bacteria is called 'resistant'. What is it resistant to?

We use antibiotics for getting rid of bacterial infections. If we use more and more antibiotics then the bacteria get resist to the biotic. Hence bacteria is called resistant if are using more biotics according to me thats the answer thanks
