Stray leopard tranquilized
A stray leopard was spotted by a few villagers on the outskirts of Powai two days ago. The leopard was seen in the early hours of the evening yesterday too. The villagers alerted the forest officials.
Officials took immediate action and spotted the leopard. The leopard was watched and tranquilized very carefully. It has now been transported and will be left back into the forests tomorrow.
The forest officials are keeping a watch on the leopard and also patrolling the forests to check for any stray leopards. The reason could be the extreme heat which led to the leopard straying in search of water.
