SOLUTION :-

Let,

Speed of the streamer in still water = x

Given that,

Speed of the stream = 2 km/hr

Downstream :-

Speed downstream = ( x + 2 ) km/hr

Time taken = 3h

Distance between 2 ports = 3 ( x + 2 ) km

Upstream :-

Speed upstream = ( x - 2 ) km/hr

Time taken = 4h

Distance between 2 ports = 4 ( x - 2 ) km

According to the question,

\longrightarrow\sf 3(x+2)=4(x-2) \\\\\longrightarrow 3x+6 = 4x-8 \\\\\longrightarrow 3x-4x= -8-6 \\\\\longrightarrow -x= -14 \\\\\longrightarrow \bf x = 14

Speed of the streamer in still water = 14 km/hr
