A streamer going down stream in a river covers the distance to between two towns in 15 hours coming back of streams it covers this distance in 20 hours the speed of the water is 3 km per hour find the distance between two towns. ​

Let Speed of boat = x km/hr

While going downstrem

Speed of boat = x+3

Distance = 15 × (x+3)

While coming upstream

Speed of Boat = x-3

Distance = 20× (x-3)

Distance of town is same so we can say:

15(x+3) = 20(x-3)

== x = 21km/hr

Distance b/w Town = 15(x+3) or 20(x-3)

== 15(24) km = 360 km
