The driver was staying at the left lane (which should be used only for taking over), and wouldn’t let anyone take over. Fine. Then the driver would come back to the right lane, until there was someone trying to overtake again. I realized the erratic behavior and gave some distance, stayed on the right lane and drove slowly.
There were two trucks ahead of the car. One truck was trying to take over the other. It happened three or four times, that when the truck would start the overtaking maneuver, this Mini Copper’s driver would go to the left lane and impede it. The truck driver would get back, and the mini would also get back!
And I was like “this is ain’t going to end well and I’m behind this idiot”.
Around the fifth time this happened, the truck driver pushed forward. And, predictably, the Mini’s driver would do the same, but this time, the driver was too late, and was at the truck’s blind spot.
The truck was already at the left lane, and pushed the Mini Cooper out of the highway to the left. The mini hit the guard rail, and instead of trying to make the car drive straight, the driver pushed the steering all the way to the right, which made the car spin, and it hit the guard rail again, this time a full frontal.
There was light rain, and traffic was heavy, and I was just behind this, with many other cars behind me. I couldn’t stop to help. The truck didn’t stop at all for a km of until the driver assessed that it was out of danger.
This driver deserved a punch in the face for driving so recklessly and putting other people in danger.
