Answer:2400

Step-by-step explanation:

Length of street lane,L=240m

Beadth of street lane,B=12m

Area of street lane ,A=L*B

=>A=2880sq.m

=>A=288000sq.cm

Length of one tile,l=12cm

Bradth of onetile,b=10cm

Area of one tile,a=l*b

a=120sq.cm

Now th street lane is to be filed up with the tiles

So Area of street lane ahould be equal to product of no.of tiles and are of each tile.

Let n be no.of tiles

So...A=n*a

=>288000=n*120

=> n=288000/120

=>n=2400

So,....2400 no.of tiles are required to fill the street lane..

Hope this helps...☺☺☺

hey mate here is your solution
we have to convert the length and breadth of lane from Meter to centimetres ,since the dimensions of tile is given in cm
breadthof lane =240m×100cm=24000cm
Length of lane=12m ×100cm=1200cm
no of tiles needed =area of lane ÷area of one tile
=24000×1200÷12×10
=120÷28800000

=240000

thus 240000 tiles are needed for lane of dimensions( 240×12)m
hope this will help you
