A stretched rubber band if stricken produces sound . can you tell due to what motion it is giving the sound

Yes because if you stretch the string get while plucking it the 1st string will have a low pitch and if you will pick the string without stretching it the 1st string it will have a high pitch.

And it is giving sound due to elastic motion.
