The spring extends by 5cm when a load of 50N is applied.

F = kx

Therefore 50 = 0.05k

Therefore 50/0.05 = k = 1000N/m

F = 1000x

100 = 1000x

100/1000 = x = 0.1m = 10cm

Original length = 20cm

Therefore full length = 10 + 20 = 30cm
