The tension in the string is 0.4 N

Solution:

  • Mass m = 200g
  • To convert into kilogram, divide by 1000
  • Mass = 200/1000 = 0.2 kg
  • Velocity 'V' = 2m/s
  • Length 'L' = 2m = r

Now by using the formula of tension

T = mv^2/r

T = 0.2 x (2)^2/ 2

T = 0.2 x 4 / 2

T = 0.2 x 2

T = 0.4 N

Thus the tension in the string is 0.4 N
