A string is divided into two parts in the ratio 5 : 7. If the bigger one is 35 cm, find the length of the string

let the two parts are 5x and 7x

7x = 35

x = 5

length of string = 5x +7x = 5x5+7x5 = 25 + 35 = 60 cm
