A string vibrates with a frequency of 500 HZ. If the distance between a crest and the next trough is 10 cm then find the velocity and time period of the wave.

Given :-
- Frequency (f) = 500Hz
- Wavelength (λ) = 10cm = 10/100m = 0.1m .
To Find :-
- Velocity (v) = ?
- Time period (t) = ?
Solution :-
- Find velocity of wave.
=> V = f × λ
=> V = 500 × 0.1
=> V = 50m/s .
- Find time period of wave.
=> f = 1/t
=> 500 = 1/t
=> t = 1/500
=> t = 0.002 sec.
