a strip of copper is placed in four different colourless salt solution .They are KNO3,AgNO3,Zn(NO3)2,Ca(NO3)2 .AgNO3will turn it blue but why ....can anyone explain me

Because copper can displace silver, to form copper ion in the ionic copper nitrate. copper ioñ has a blue colour. it can't react with the others because it is less reactive than them. it can only displace silver. hope this helps:)

Only AgNO3 will turn blue because copper will replace the silver and form copper nitrate Cu(NO3)2 which is blue in color.
This is because Potassium (K), Zinc (Zn) and Calcium (Ca) are all more reactive than copper. So copper can't displace them.
Silver is less reactive than copper, so it displaces the silver.
