Answer:

Let ABCD denotes the rectangle.

Length of the sheet = 30 cm

Breadth of the sheet = 20 cm

Area of the sheet

= (30×20)=600cm2(30×20)=600cm2

A strip of width 4 cm is cut out all round from a sheet of paper

Let that form a rectangle PQRS

Length of the rectangle PQRS = 30 - 4 - 4

= 22 cm

Breadth of the rectangle = 20-4-4 = 12 cm

Area of the rectangle PQRS = 22×12=264cm222×12=264cm2

Area of the strip cut out = Area of ABCD - Area of PQRS = 600cm2-264cm2-336c m2600cm2-264cm2-336cm2
