Let ABCD denotes the rectangle.

Length of the sheet = 30 cm

Breadth of the sheet = 20 cm

Area of the sheet = (30×20)=600cm2(30×20)=600cm2

A strip of width 4 cm is cut out all round from a sheet of paper

Let that form a rectangle PQRS

Length of the rectangle PQRS = 30 - 4 - 4 = 22 cm

Breadth of the rectangle = 20-4-4 = 12 cm

Area of the rectangle PQRS = 22×12=264cm222×12=264cm2

Area of the strip cut out = Area of ABCD - Area of PQRS = 600cm2−264cm2=336cm2600cm2−264cm2=336cm2

Step-by-step explanation:

hey mate here is your answer :

Let ABCD denotes the rectangle.

Length of the sheet = 30 cm

Breadth of the sheet = 20 cm

Area of the sheet = (30×20)=600cm^2

A strip of width 3 cm is cut out all round from a sheet of paper

Let that form a rectangle PQRS

Length of the rectangle PQRS = 30-3-3 = 24 cm

Breadth of the rectangle = 20-3-3 = 14 cm

Area of the rectangle PQRS = 24×14=336cm^2

Area of the strip cut out = Area of ABCD - Area of PQRS = 600cm^2−336cm^2=264cm^2
