Strength of an acid depends on its degree of dissosciation. This is the percentage (α) which tells us how many hydronium ions it produces in aqueous solution. It is independent of its dilution. Hence, a strong acid remains strong even if diluted. For eg. Conc. acetic acid is weaker than conc. hydrochloric acid.
