But if you’re asking how two people (with a big difference between their strenghts) should carry a ladder with equal stain on them both, the stonger one should hold the ladder closer to the middle, while the weaker closer to one end of the ladder. Like this the weaker one won’t get exausted before the stronger one starts to feel discomfort.

It’s same as a lever. If you try to lift the load by pressing it on A, it will be much harder then if you press it on B.
