A Strong sound signal is sent from a ship to whats the bottom of the sea. It is received back after 1 S, what is the depth of the sea? (speed of the sound in the water= 1500 m/s)

Time taken by the signal to reach the bottom of the sea = 1⁄2 sec

Speed of sound in water = 1500 m/s

Depth of the sea = distance travelled by the signal * time

= 1500 * 1⁄2 = 750 m
