A structural beam is subjected to sagging bending moment, has a cross section which is an unsymmetrical i-section, having overall depth of 300 mm. The bending stress in the beam at top and bottom are 200 mpa and 50 mpa respectively. The position of neutral axis in mm from the bottom flange is

Hey!

 \frac{</strong><strong>x</strong><strong>}{50}  = \frac{300 - x}{200}

200x = 15000-50x

x = 60 nm
