Given:

The number 57384.

Number actually added = 148

Number which was to be added = 184

To find:

By how much the answer was greater than the correct answer ?

Solution:

Result by adding 184 to 57384:

57384 + 184 = 57568

Result by adding 148 to 57384:

57384 + 148 = 57532

Difference of the two results = 57568 - 57532 = 36

The answer is nothing but equal to the difference of the two numbers i.e. 184 and 148.

184 - 148 = 36

So, the answer is 36.
