a student added dilute HCl to the test tube containing zinc granules. Write the two main observations after the reaction takes place . What will be the colour of surface of zinc after the reaction?

◆ When Metal react with acid to give salt and hydrogen gas.

Metal + Acid ---- Salt + Hydrogen gas

◆ Hydrogen gas will release or not we will check with the help of popping sound.

◆ When Zinc (Zn) metal added in Hydrochloride acid HCl.

Equation = Zn + 2HCl --- ZnCl2 + H2

Zn = Zinc
HCl = Hydrochloride
ZnCl= Zinc Chlorine
H2 = Hydrogen gas

◆ in this above reaction ZnSO4 is salt.

◆ Now we will check hydrogen gas will release or not. When a burning candle near the solution so pop sound we listen so hydrogen gas is released.
