A student adds dilute Sulphuric acid to slaked lime. What would be the effect and why?

Explanation:

When dilute sulphuric acid to lime water (calcium hydroxide ) it becomes calcium sulphate . When an acid +base reaction takes place the reaction releases heat energy . So this process releases heat energy . This reaction is also called exothermic reaction which releases heat or light energy.
