Total cost = cost of ( box+brush+sheet )
= 90.60 + 67.35 +9

The total money spent by the student is Rs 166.95.

Given,

2 color boxes cost Rs 45.30 each. 3 paint brushes cost Rs 22.45 each and 4 drawing sheets cost Rs 2.25 each.

To find,

The money that the student spent.

Solution,

In the cases where we have been given several commodities and the price of each commodity, we can use the unitary method to find the total price.

So, we will multiply the number of each commodity by the price of each commodity to get the total cost.

The cost of 2 colors boxes=Rs 2(45.30)

Cost of 3 paint brushes =Rs 3(22.45)

Cost of 4 drawings sheets=Rs 4(2.25)

Total money spent= 2(45.30)+3(22.45)+4(2.25)

=90.6+67.35+9

=166.95.

So, the total money spent by the student is Rs 166.95.
